Recruitment is a 3-week fun, no-pressure series of events where you can meet our sisters, learn about our values, and get a feel for what being in alpha Kappa Delta Phi is all about! It’s a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if our sisterhood is the right fit for you. Our events are a mix of formal and informal events that showcase our sisterhood.

While we recommend attending as many events as possible to get the full experience and meet different sisters, we understand everyone has busy schedules! Just let us know if you have a conflict, we’re happy to work with you. If you would like to interview, refer to the following questions.
To be eligible for an interview, you must attend 1 General Interest Meeting (GIM) and 2 Socials.
Active sisters are expected to attend weekly chapter meetings, participate in events, uphold our values, and contribute to our community. We support each other in balancing those responsibilities with our academic and personal lives.
Yes! We encourage academic excellence, so our minimum GPA requirement is a 2.85 from the previous semester. You must also be enrolled at UF as a full-time student (12 credits). We offer academic support and mentorship to help everyone succeed.
Not at all! aKDPhi is Asian-interest, but we are not Asian-exclusive. We welcome and celebrate women of all backgrounds. Our sisterhood is built on inclusivity, unity, and shared values - not ethnicity.
Our New Member Program is an educational and bonding period where you’ll learn about aKDPhi’s history, values, and traditions, while forming lifelong friendships with your line sisters. It’s designed to help you grow personally and professionally in a supportive, empowering environment.
Yes, there are dues each semester that go toward sisterhood events, national fees, philanthropy, and other chapter operations. We understand financial concerns and offer payment plans or assistance if needed.

Time commitment varies depending on your level of involvement, but we always prioritize school and personal well-being. During the New Member Program, there will be weekly meetings and bonding activities similar to the workload of a 3 credit class. As an active sister, you’ll attend chapter meetings, sisterhood events, and philanthropy/service opportunities.

Yes! Our alumnae are active in our lives and events. Whether it's offering career advice, attending banquets, or staying in touch in our group chats, our bond doesn’t end at graduation.
Our national philanthropy is breast cancer awareness. We raise funds, volunteer, and host events to educate and advocate for those impacted by breast cancer. Our chapter philanthropy is Food4Kids, a program for local children often going hungry on weekends in areas where the population are living below the poverty line.
Yes! We have study hours, mentorship programs, an academic archive, and a strong academic culture that supports each member’s goals. We also celebrate each other’s achievements!
